Svenja Hitzemann is a Doctoral Researcher at the department of Conflict and Development Studies in the Conflict Research Group at Ghent University. Her research focuses on the role of populism in coalition-building among agrarian movements in Germany and the implications for political mobilization. She holds a Double Master in Global Studies from Roskilde University and Ghent University as well as a BSc in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
